The Opportunity   

As Customer Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for leveraging customer data and market insights to develop and execute best practice customer sales growth programs, events, and activations.  
  
As part of a dynamic and collaborative Commercial team, you will co-create customer joint account plans alongside the National account and state sales teams, develop new product innovation (NPI) execution plans and bring brand plans to life through customers in order to drive awareness, consideration, and commercial growth of James Hardie products.  

Key Responsibilities

  • Co-create annual National Account customer plans, ensuring clear demonstration of marketing value, scalable programs, in and out of store execution to achieve customer growth objectives
  • Design, develop and execute key marketing assets including communication, product merchandising material, point of sale, promotions and events to drive growth of existing products and NPI
  • Lead and execute customer focused, integrated marketing campaigns to drive customer engagement, expansion and retention
  • Plan and execute customer digital marketing requirements for customer-owned sites and campaigns
  • Leverage James Hardie brand campaigns to drive category growth and create value for National Accounts
  • Work closely with National Account Managers to build strong relationships with customers key stakeholders i.e. customer brand & marketing teams
  • Set objectives / targets and track progress and outcomes of campaigns, activations, customer growth programs for continuous improvement purposes
About You:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Business or Marketing, or equivalent
  • Strong marketing background, ideally with experience in trade marketing
  • Hardware, building products or construction industry experience would be amazing!
  • Proven track record in successfully impacting customer buying behaviours, including increase conversion and sell through
  • Self-starter with strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships, negotiate effectively and present to differing stakeholder groups
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, gap analysis and propriety setting
  • Analytical mindset with strong quantitative reasoning, creativity and the ability to think strategically through complex issues
  • Hands-on with the ability to quickly shift between strategic and tactical approaches
  • Ability to pivot and adapt to a changing environment and remain steadfastly outcome focussed
