Cox Purtell is currently partnering with a well-established international business, specialising in B2B packaging supply to the FMCG market (with over 40 years in the industry!), who are seeking a dedicated and customer-focused individual to lead their Customer Service & Supply Chain team. As a family-owned company, they place a strong emphasis on their people.

Responsible for managing a small team across both supply chain and Customer Service, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring exceptional client experience, whilst maintaining efficiencies across the team and business. You will be a hands-on leader who is happy to jump into administrative tasks and work with customers alongside your team when required.

This role offers excellent opportunities for growth, with a potential succession plan to Operations Manager - taking accountability for wider business functions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop relationships with key clients and stakeholders being the main point of contact for the Customer Services team.
• Manage and delegate workflow throughout the team.
• Ensure client experience is outstanding.
• Manage and delegate import documentation as well as local freight delivery processes.
• Day-to-day people management of the Customer Service team - including training and development.
• Ad-hoc process improvement projects within the department.
• Operational admin to support the wider business.
• Contributing to management meetings.
• Reporting metrics back to management.

Skills & Experience:

• Must have managed a team in a product-focussed Customer Service setting before.
• Previous experience in a corporate B2B people management role is essential.
• Experience in the logistics sector would be preferred.
• Prior experience or exposure to operational functions within an organisation would be advantageous.
• High EQ
• Excellent usability with Microsoft Office and SAP or a similar ERP
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Full working rights in Australia as this is a Permanent position.
• Must be comfortable to travel to and work in Rosebery, NSW (2018).
