Keppel Bay Marina is a family built, owned and operated business. Known as the friendliest marina, it stands as a major attraction for visitors to the Capricorn Region and hub of marine, tourism and leisure activities on the Capricorn Coast.

Keppel Bay Marina has grown over the years and now consists of several separate, but fully integrated business elements that work in synergy to create arguably the most comprehensive marine and tourism facilities on the East Coast of Australia including

  • 500+ berth marina
  • award winning Waterline Restaurant
  • Bareboat & Fishing Charters
  • Tourist Services
  • Boatyard with 40 tonne travelift
  • Brokerage & Chandlery

POSITION PURPOSE

Part of our reception team, this is primarily a Customer Service role, responsible first and foremost for efficient and friendly service of all customers of Keppel Bay Marina and developing great customer relationships.

This role is the first point of contact with customers. responsible for greeting guests, including telephone, radio, e-mail and internet enquiries, tourist product sales, marina berth reservations and greeting boats on the dock.

This role is also responsible for booking and processing Marina Reservations, sailing cruise, ferry and boat charter tickets, and accountable for accuracy in managing these bookings. 

Attention to detail is essential and experience with reservations and/or admin experience in a workshop/trade environment would be an advantage.

Fantastic Customer Service skills must be backed up with experience in and evidence of accuracy and accountability in the administration process for reservations or similar.

Knowledge of and experience with boats an advantage but not essential.

Keppel Bay Marina is a 7 days a week business, the regular roster for this role will include rotational weekend shifts. This is a part time or fulltime position depending on the applicants, and may be split into two roles.
