Randstad is currently recruiting for an experienced Records Officer to support a well-established state government department on the Gold Coast (Robina location). This is an AO3 position paying $46.27 p/hr + super, for a 12 month assignment with full time hours (38hours per week). As the Records Officer, you will undertake activities relating to the collation and filing of internal assessments to meet the needs of the department.Key duties:
- Ensure that the records management system is managed, maintained and accessible in accordance with legislative compliance.
- Create, manage, maintain and dispose of electronic and hardcopy files and records in compliance with departmental processes and procedures
- Respond to requests for information and enquiries from internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage data entry into various information management systems
- Provide advice, guidance and support to staff to ensure the correct implementation of departmental records.
- Assist with continuous improvement of record keeping processes and procedures
- Other general office and administration duties including word processing, printing and scanning.
- Previous experience in recordkeeping and document management
- Strong knowledge and understanding of record keeping and government processes, desirably in the Public Sector
- Previous experience using a range of government systems
- Strong Communications skills, with the ability to speak with a wide range of stakeholders
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise effectively
- Excellent administrative skills
