Learn to Swim Victoria is part of Surrey Park Swimming established in 1904 and is one of the oldest clubs in Australia. Our not-for-profit organisation seeks to provide the best club and lesson environment in Victoria to ensure all swimmers are reaching their full potential and building a love for the sport of swimming. We are currently seeking a professional casual Customer Service Officer to join our dynamic and friendly Customer Service team. Our ideal candidate will be a resourceful multi-tasker with the ability to maintain attention to detail while prioritising multiple time demands.
Customer Service Officers are the first point of call for all Learn to Swim Victoria customers, swimmers, school groups and club members. Work will be available at Learn to Swim Victoria, Heidelberg. The position hours operate Monday to Friday between 8:00am and 7:30pm and weekends at various times between 8:00am and 5:00pm. Flexible work hours can be arranged.
Key roles and Responsibilities
- Organising bookings, taking payments, and handling enquiries for Surrey Park Swimming customers
- Swim school and club day to day office administration
- Engage customers in a professional, friendly, and courteous manner
- Ability to problem solve and provide solutions for difficult customer enquiries
- Phone, email, and face to face interactions with customers
- Ability to remain calm and polite under pressure
- General marketing and office duties
Qualifications and Experience
Qualifications:
- Current Working With Children Check (employment) - essential
- Current CPR - essential
- Current qualification in Customer service or administration (desirable)
- Current teacher of swimming and water safety qualification (desirable)
- Experience working with a not for profit, community sporting organisation (desirable)
Experience (desirable but not essential):
- Computer literacy with OneDrive, Outlook, Microsoft word, Microsoft Excel, and iClassPro/Intrac
- Prior experience working in a Customer Service or administration role
- Knowledge of swimming lessons, swimming teaching, and swimming clubs is advantageous
Skills - essential:
- Excellent communication, organisation, time management skills
- Friendly, warm, and polite demeanour in a busy work environment
- Self-motivated with ability to work autonomously
- Professional and flexible approach to work and work requests and feedback
