THE ROLE - CUSTOMER SERVICE OFFICER / BUILDER LIAISON
Based in our Building Supplies division, the Customer Service team is responsible for providing a high levels of Customer Service within a fast-paced environment. To be successful in this role you will be approachable, confident, decisive, detail oriented and a team player.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILTIES
- Enter and process customer orders
- Liase with suppliers and provide assistance to builders via phone and email
- Undertake quote preparation and data entry
- Coordinate deliveries with established cut-off times
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure customer needs are met
- Complete daily list of tasks and general administrative duties as required
- Answer all internal and external phone calls in a courteous and helpful manner
- Technical aptitude to develop product knowledge
QUALIFICATIONS | EXPERIENCE | CAPABILITIES
- Previous experience in an administration and/or Customer Service position (essential)
- Well-developed communication skills – both written and verbal (essential)
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritise in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in the use of MS Office Suite
- Knowledge of the building industry will be highly regarded
- A positive, ‘can do’ attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
