We are seeking a proactive and enthusiastic Customer Service Officer to assist the Underwriting Team for our client in the Property Insurance sector.
Our ClientOur client is a leading provider in the insurance industry, specializing in in property domestic claims and provide innovative solutions tailored to meet the diverse needs of their clients.
We are currently looking for a Customer Service Officer to join their Sydney team. The ideal candidate will deliver an exceptional Customer Service experience to clients and work collaboratively with the Underwriting and other colleagues within the business.
The Role
Based in Sydney, you will be a valuable member of a close-knit team, reporting directly to the Underwriting Team Leader. Your responsibilities will include handling all incoming calls to the business, directing calls beyond your authority, and concentrating on domestic property, landlord, and holiday homes. Technical support and training will be readily available as required.
- Acting as the primary contact via phone and email, ensuring that all emails receive courteous and informative responses within a specified timeframe.
- All information is documented correctly in the clients underwriting file.
- Manage a dynamic and efficient diary system to ensure the timely completion and follow-up of all tasks, adhering to the time limits outlined by the General Insurance Code of Practice.
- Evaluating insurance applications and assisting in determining coverage T’s & C’s.
We are looking for an enthusiastic team player with a proactive approach and keen eagerness to learn.
- Proven experience in a Customer Service or administration role within the insurance industry (2+ years)
- Excellent communication skills
- Capacity to meet individual KPIs.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task
- High self-motivation coupled with a positive can-do attitude
