We currently have an opportunity available for a Customer Service Operatorto join our team in Brisbane.
Key responsibilities
- Ensure the day-to-day operational tasks within the Customer Service Team are undertaken and completed in line with the business and customer requirements.
- Complete end to end Customer Service functions, including liaison with relevant GEODIS offices, both locally, Interstate and overseas.
- Job registrations and obtaining / preparing necessary documents for Customs clearance, through to delivery of goods to Customers
- Collect relevant charges, invoicing, and job costings.
- Monitor cargo availability.
- Approving and processing creditor invoices.
- Co-ordinate deliveries of airfreight, LCL and FCL shipments to customers.
- Meet all Quality, Environmental and OH&S criteria and ensure adherence to all requirements and procedures as stipulated in the GEODIS IMS Manual.
Skills and experience
- Minimum 2 years’ industry experience.
- Experience with EDI/Cargowise preferred
- Knowledge of freight forwarding, and accountancy practices a distinct advantage.
- Customer service and commercial exposure such as quoting and rate negotiation.
- Lean Processes
- Proficient through training and/or experience in Customs clearance and industry procedures
