An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Customer Service Officer with a background in freight to join our team. This role will see you as the first point of contact for our customers, ensuring that they receive exceptional Customer Service at every step of the way.
In this role you will:
- Provide outstanding Customer Service to all customers via phone and email.
- Assist with any product enquiries and prepare quotes as needed.
- Provide end-to-end sales support – process customer orders, coordinate transport and ensure appropriate paperwork is complete
- Effectively manage freight processes – ensure transport details, lead times and pricing are recorded and coordinated accurately and effectively
- Assist with inventory management systems – complete monthly counts, reconciliations and ensure all relevant reporting is maintained
- Oversee the accounts receivable and debtor management processes – ensure outstanding accounts are followed up on, files are maintained, and all compliance standards are met
What you’ll bring to the role:
- Experience working in a customer-facing role
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills – you’ll be able to work with all sorts of people and be diplomatic and discreet when appropriate
- Intermediate computer and data management skills – experience with accounting and bookkeeping software is essential
- Exceptional organisation and time management skills – the ability to manage competing responsibilities, meet deadlines and prioritise effectively
- Demonstrated experience working in a fast-paced environment with the ability to work autonomously as well as being an effective team member.
