About the Team:
As the Station Assistant you will join a team of approximately nine where you will work with two to three team members per shift to provide exceptional Customer Service and general cleaning duties at the Bundaberg Train Station. As a team you will play an important role to provide support to the electric tilt train (Bundaberg to Rockhampton) when it arrives at the station.
In addition to this, you will also be required to drive for extended periods of time to locations such as Rockhampton, Maryborough and Gympie to help move team members across depots when required.

Some of the duties will include:
• Providing exceptional Customer Service including handling of customer luggage
• Operating station machinery and vegetation control equipment (e.g. lawn mowers and whipper snippers)
• General cleaning and maintenance duties of the station, bathroom facilities and the train
• Reporting any safety concerns to the onsite supervisor
• Drive a motor vehicle for extended periods of time when required

Roster / Hours:
This is a permanent full-time position which generally works between the hours of 0300 to 2400 as well as weekends and public holidays, so flexibility is required in this position.
About you:
• The ability to work autonomously but also within a team environment.
• Exceptional communication skills coupled with a customer focused attitude to ensure a positive experience for our customers
• Strong work ethic and willingness to go the ‘extra mile'
• A safety conscious attitude
• Ability to undertake a variety of manual handling tasks including cleaning and lifting of heavy luggage up to 20 kilograms
• Previous cleaning or garden maintenance experience is desirable but not essential
• Be prepared to drive a vehicle up to 8hrs in a single shift to move team across depots / any additional travelling when required (e.g. Brisbane and Rockhampton for training)
Candidates will need to hold the following qualification to be considered:
• Hold a current ‘c' class drivers licence (minimum)
