Australian owned freight forwarder, located in Botany is currently seeking an experienced Customer Service Supervisor to be responsible for assisting the NSW Sales & Ops Manager in the performance of the Customer Service department.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop service procedures, policies and standards
- Keep accurate records and document Customer Service actions and discussions
- Maintain an orderly workflow according to priorities
- Investigate customer issues/problems and create mutually beneficial solutions
- Keep on top of and provide training for new company products and services
- Communicate with customers via telephone, email and letter
- Handle issues that are escalated from members of the Customer Service team
- Assist in hiring, training of Customer Service team
- Support Corporate strategy, goals and KPI’s – Establish and achieve department goals and KPI’s – to be aligned to Corporate strategy
- Maintain a safe and secure working environment
- Preferred 2-3 years of experience in a supervisory role
- Good understanding of the use of Cargo Wise
- Familiar with CRM systems and practices
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Thorough understanding of communication techniques and practices
- Proven self-starter with initiative and motivation
- Prior experience working with / across other departments
- Good time management skills
- Customer orientation and ability to adapt/respond to different types of characters
- Ability to multi-task
- Patience and ability to work under stress
- Positive Attitude
