Macs Engineering / Opposite Lock Mackay is a highly regarded local business. Employing approx. 80 staff, which supplies 4WD and Fleet accessories, Heavy duty Ute Trays,Canopies,Toolboxes, Explosive boxes, Laser cutting and component fabrication, touring, mine spec and fleet vehicle fit outs - to retail, commercial and industrial clients.
Macs Engineering / Opposite Lock Mackay is currently looking for a friendly and enthusiastic Salesperson to join our dynamic and cohesive team, where our focus is on outstanding customer service, personal relationships and delivery of high-quality products and services.
The right person for this position will have:
- The ability to “work things out”, develop concepts and collate ideas - a customer will come in with an idea or a concept - you will have the ability to help them turn that into the final product that they need.
- The ability to understand and build strong product knowledge of Macs and Opposite Lock's extensive offering of products and services.
- Prior sales or customer service experience - highly regarded but not essential for the right applicant.
- Strong computer skills
- Confidence in communicating with customers to provide accurate information and advice on what they require
- Strong attention to detail - to ensure accuracy in quoting and job preparation.
- Strong communication skills - in person, phone and email
- The ability to work within a fast paced environment, and as part of a diverse team
- The ability to provide outstanding customer service, and build personal relationships with new and existing customers, to ensure ongoing and return business
- Self motivation, and have strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize work
Ideally, you will be someone who always goes the extra mile, has a passion for what they do and above all prides themselves on their reliability and integrity.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Counter, phone and email enquiry handling
- Counter sales
- Quoting, ensuring all relevant information is available to determine build specs
- Customer follow up
- Creating accurate job cards
- Payment processing
- Stock handling, merchandising and general housekeeping
- Order processing, data entry, maintaining and updating supplier and customer data bases
As a team member working in the customer facing, front line of the business, you will work standard business hours Monday to Friday. At this stage, no Saturday roster applies, but this may be reviewed in the future.
