About the Opportunity
Reporting to the Operations Manager, this position has a strong focus on quality Customer Service and operational efficiency.
We are seeking an Operations & Customer Service person who will take pride in assisting and supporting our Forwarding team to ensure optimal workflow management and customer satisfaction. A hands-on operational role, the position is also responsible of communicating daily with our statewide network and ensuring maximum customer satisfaction from an on time delivery mindset.
Your Responsibilities:
- Work closely with and support the Operations Team through operational planning and development and taking accountability for the performance of the Forwarding team.
- Provide and ensure a high-quality service to our existing and expanding customer base in-line with business expectations and key performance indicators.
- Monitor service agreements as required to ensure efficient and pro-active service is delivered and strong relationships are created and maintained.
- Act as a point of escalation for any enquiries or issues to streamline processes for maximum efficiency.
- Prepare quotes for all Intra & Inter State Forwarding as required.
- Maintain and update client information regarding contractually agreed service level agreements, rates, and charges. Review and authorise Supplier invoices.
Key Competencies and Skills:
The successful candidate will possess:
- Relevant experience within transport & logistics.
- Relevant Customer Service experience or a similar role
- Success with assisting and motivating within a team environment to optimise team performance and development.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 would be an advantage.
- A solutions, outcome focused person with a proven ability to streamline operations to improve efficiencies along with problem-solving acumen.
- Excellent customer and communication skills.
