Role summary
The Customer Strategy & Planning Associate is responsible for developing and delivering compelling category growth solutions for a portfolio of customers and channels, cascading from brand and regional business plans.
This role will have accountability supported by the Customer Strategy & Planning Manager to help maximise the distribution of existing products and deliver launches of new product innovation. The role will ensure the support and development of the range review process and drive commercialisation through distribution, pricing, shelf, and merchandising initiatives across all Newell product categories. This important focus be will on the food storage, lunch, hydration, beverage & home storage categories within our Newell Brands product segments.

What are your key responsibilities:
- Effectively support annual category range review processes, including account and brand?category portfolios
- Successfully integrate brand/marketing plans into the ANZ market and customer plans within the food storage, lunch, hydration, beverage & home storage within the grocery, mass, and specialty channels
- Lead and manage key event and promotional calendars aligning key customers profiles
- Develop, track, and deliver distribution and category expansion plans
- Effectively initiate brand and customer priorities and use the planning process to drive strategic alignment
- Organise SKU assortment priorities, financial deliverables, and synergies in conjunction with regional marketing campaigns
- Compile and analyse market shopper and end-user channel knowledge gaps
- Proactively gather competitive marketplace intelligence to share with the wider organisational teams
- Work cohesively with marketing and sales teams to complete forecast tools
- Support the development of customer P&L by promotion, program, and range developments.
What you need to be successful:
- Minimum 2-3 years in similar role – Degree qualified preferred but not essential
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Power Point
- Experience in customer & range review management support
- Strong communication and attention to detail
- Experience in grocery, general merchandise and/or FMCG retail
- Self-motivated team player
- Excellent time and project management skills.
