The Smith Family is a children’s education charity that helps young Australians experiencing disadvantage to create better futures for themselves through harnessing the power of education.
We are seeking an experienced Customer Support Specialist to join our organisation. Reporting to the Team Leader, Customer Engagement and working alongside dedicated, energised, and passionate team members, this role will provide world-class supporter care and manage a range of admininistrative duties relating to supporter care. About our role You will be responsible for:
- Providing supporter care to current and prospective sponsors and donors
- Initiating outbound calls to proactively build sponsor relationships and opportunities
- Creating and developing strong relationships with supporters
- Accurately and efficiently managing all database inputs
- Handling a range of telephone enquiries, including donations and sponsorships
- Occasionally handling complex enquiries and complaints
- Providing timely responses to general enquiries through chat or email
About you As well as passion for community, you will bring the following:
- Experience in customer service and sales
- Accountability for work outcomes
- Commitment to continual learning and development
- Ability to work autonomously as well as within a team
- Competency in typing and data entry
- Have or willing to obtain an employee Working With Children's Check
