About the role
As a member of the Harvey Norman Information Security team based on-site in Silverwater, you’ll closely collaborate with our CISO and Information Security Managers. Your role will involve performing Incident Response, Threat Intelligence and Vulnerability Management, while also managing Security Platforms to support our global security objectives. You’ll represent the overall Security team in project engagements, providing crucial oversight, design, and assurance.
Responsibilities include;
- Perform critical business and security projects from concept to completion, ensuring alignment with HN’s security by design principles
- Ongoing assurance through activities such as audits, technical risks assessments, and the facilitation of penetration tests
- Conduct third-party assessments in accordance with GRC practices whenever the organisation engages new vendors or partners
- Stay informed about potential threats, emerging trends, and relevant events that could impact the organisations risk posture
- Collaborate with vendors and technical teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues with security platforms
- Track and report on information security controls and their effectiveness, making recommendations for improvements
- Assist in developing documentation necessary for the continuous support and maintenance of security platforms
- Assist in the enforcement and socialisation of security policies, standards, and processes
- Support the Security Operations, Data Governance and Risk and Compliance teams where required
About you
You will possess experience in a comparable capacity within Security, Infrastructure or Development within a complex environment, showcasing adaptability to diversify skill sets in the IT operational domain as necessary. You will also have the ability to build and maintain productive relationships with key stakeholders.
You will also have;
- Experience using Endpoint Detection and Response Tools, Vulnerability Management, Ticketing and Asset Management tools
- Experience in reviewing high-level architecture diagrams and understanding network and data flows
- Ability to facilitate meetings, ensuring actionable items are identified, assigned, and tracked to successful completion
- Knowledge of security design principles and security certifications (E.g., CISSP, CISA, Security +)
- Knowledge of security frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, OWASP, and other Cyber Security frameworks (EXPOSURE – re word)
- Experienced in liaising with both technical and non-technical stakeholders and communicating effectively
