Cyber Security Architect

• Initial 3 month contract with view to extend for 12 months

• $1,150 - $1,250/day inc. super

About the role

As a Cyber Security Architect, you'll lead the development and implementation of Cyber Security initiatives across this large government organisation, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory obligations. 
  
Strong solution architecture skills within the security domain is mandatory requirement for this role.

Responsibilities 

• Lead in developing and integrating Cyber Security designs
• Assessing security posture and address potential weaknesses and gaps
• Govern, monitor, and enhance compliance with Cyber Security Policy
• Perform security reviews, identify gaps in Security Architecture, and develop a security risk management plan.
• Establish and manage a Cyber Security advisory practice to ensure ongoing compliance with NSW Government Cyber Security Policy.
• Offer strategic insights for crisis management and major incident responses
• Act as the escalation/resolution point for sensitive/critical security incidents, supporting root cause analysis with a flexible approach to working hours for effective response and resolution.

Experience

• Proven experience in developing solution design and architecture artefacts incorporating security by design principles
• Strong knowledge of Security Architecture principles, cyber threats and associated risks
• Relevant Information Security certifications such as CISSP, CISA, SABSA, Cloud Security
• Strong knowledge of Cyber Security frameworks such as ACSC ISM, ISO 27001 and NIST
• TOGAF9 or equivalent industry experience highly regarded
• Cloud certification (AWS, Azure, GCP) highly regarded
