We are actively seeking a skilled Dairy Manager based at our Dalkeith IGA store. The role will primarily focus on preparing and presenting freshly made meals daily while ensuring customer satisfaction through excellent service and produce.
The Dairy Manager manages the Dairy Department, ensuring maximum sales, profit and customer satisfaction are archived through effective merchandising, pricing, inventory control and staff management. Additionally, the candidate will be expected to develop a proactive, positive culture in the store in line with Tucker Fresh's vision, mission, and values. Key Responsibilities:
- Set the standard where “every local is loved”
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service
- Ensure that staff deliver high quality service to all customers
- Understand and respond to customer requests and needs
- Inform customers about specials, promotions and new items
- Work safely in accordance with legislation and all supermarket safety
policies and procedures - Weigh, scan and record prices of products
- Receive and process payments for goods and services
Skills & Experience:
- Recent relevant retail experience
- Experience in managing a dairy department
- be passionate about customer service and maintaining high standards
- have demonstrated history in performing to targets, working with budgets and maintaining supermarket best practice
- be a proven leader who is driven to provide your team a supportive, encouraging, safe and positive team based working environment
- possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills and ability to develop strong relationships
- To be active – you’ll be on your feet for long periods of time and may require some moderate to heavy lifting and reaching
