Due to continued growth, we have a new opportunity for a Data Analyst to join our Finance team! Ideally, we want this person to be based in our Sydney office, however, we are open to other locations.
Role Description
The purpose and responsibilities of the Data Analyst is to build a vehicle valuation forecasting tool, engaging third party external data providers and utilizing applications such as Excel and Power BI. In addition, you will be producing regular reporting, presenting your insights, managing risk controls and educating internal stakeholders on your project and data results.
Responsibilities
• Monitor and validate all vehicle valuation and market value forecasting data, and prepare related system uploads.
• Engage and direct third-party providers of vehicle valuation and market value forecasting data to ensure accuracy.
• Produce, analyse and present monthly reporting with commentary to support internal stakeholder understanding of the forecasting process.
• Engage and educate internal stakeholders on value setting and system upload process.
• Engage IT to maintain and enhance exception reporting.
• Produce and present monthly reporting of related third-party partners SLA KPIs.
• Maintain and update SOP and Framework documentation.
• Maintain and update all reporting on all aspects of vehicle remarketing and disposal activities.
• Engage vehicle remarketing and disposal sales channels to enhance service delivery, including periodic attendance of vehicle remarketing and disposal partners.
• Support reconciliation of all vehicle sales and relevant vehicle remarketing and disposals invoicing.
Who are you?
• Demonstrated experience in technical report production, financial and accounting data analysis, and statistical techniques.
• High level ability in forecasting and budgeting modelling, using both Excel and Power BI.
• Proven experience presenting to key stakeholders with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• An open minded and innovative approach to problem solving.
• A strong work ethic and desire to perform at a high level.
• Strong planning and organisational skills with the ability to cope with pressure and tight deadlines.
• Experience in the finance, motor vehicle or fleet industries would be well regarded.
