As a Data Analyst, you will flourish in delving into detail and generating meaningful insights. You will be part of a high-profile team reporting to the Platform Manager (Data). In this role you will be collecting, analysing, and interpreting complex datasets to support making business recommendations to business partners. This may include working with data in a variety of structured or unstructured formats, supporting ad-hoc or ongoing reporting requests and collaborating with business and technology stakeholders to improve the usage of timely and accurate data.
The role will suit a detailed oriented, innovative and passionate Data Analyst who thrives in a fast-paced and commercially evolving environments.
What does the role involve?
- Apply statistical techniques and data mining methods to identify trends, patterns, and insights that contribute to business goals
- Create comprehensive reports and dashboards that effectively communicate findings, using visualisation tools to enhance data-driven storytelling
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide actionable insights and recommendations based on data analysis, contributing to strategic planning and problem-solving
- Work with data owners and data stewards on data definitions and governance issues
- Contribute to data classification, privacy and security policies
- Implement data quality checks and validation processes to maintain the integrity of datasets and analytical results
- 5+ years' experience in similar roles
- Experience working within similar environment, retail would be advantageous
- Experience partnering with Technology teams to achieve business outcomes and optimise customer / end user experience
- Degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field
- Highly proficient in and very experienced with SQL
- Knowledge of and experience with modern data architectures
- Programming experience with Python or related languages
- Able to communicate complex technical subjects to non-technical audiences
