About the team
The Digital team is responsible for defining, executing and operationalising the AICD digital strategy, and the digitalisation of the AICD business.
The goal is to fundamentally transform the AICD business model to use digital technologies and capabilities, enabling an unrivalled customer and staff experience, while providing new value producing opportunities.
About the role
As the Data Architect, you will drive the design, oversee the implementation, and govern the Data Architecture and migration of the AICD's Platform Modernisation Program. Your expertise and precision in data management, data asset analysis, data modelling, and data quality assessment will be critical in developing and establishing a comprehensive, best practice data migration and integration approach.
An essential element to this role is strong engagement capabilities as you will need to cultivate effective relationships with key stakeholders and cross functional teams to achieve deliverables and successful outcomes. The ability to work with ambiguity to conceptualise solutions and navigate challenges will also see you succeed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, guide the implementation, and govern the migration as well as the Data Architecture for the Platform Modernisation project.
  • Optimise, implement, and uphold enterprise Data Architecture aligned with business strategies and processes.
  • Streamline data flows along the value chain using existing assets.
  • Collaboratively align development plans with processes and systems.
  • Provide leadership and technical guidance, leveraging expertise to ensure project success and adherence to Data Architecture and governance standards and practices.
  • Establish methods to track and improve data quality.
  • Drive, maintain and continuously improve architecture frameworks, maturity, systems, procedures and controls for the wider team.
  • Develop then present designs and roadmaps to the Architecture Review Board then oversee it across multiple initiatives.
  • Maintain strong awareness of emerging technology and market trends and evaluate suitability.
Desired Skills and Experience
About you
You will have strong technical aptitude and previous relevant experience, and you will champion the AICD “OneTeam” approach and values of: Accountability, Respect, Excellence and Collaboration. In addition, you will also have the following:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a similar related field.
  • Extensive experience across data migration strategies, data solution architecture, design, and governance.
  • TOGAF Certification or similar practical experience within Enterprise Architecture practices.
  • Identification of organisational data needs and articulating complex technological solutions experience.
  • Strong analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills.
  • Well-developed ability to communicate, engage and influence leadership, a range of stakeholders and cross functional teams.
  • Exceptional analysis, evaluation and reporting capabilities with a focus on translating business requirements into technical data models.
  • Proven knowledge of data platform concepts, data transformation processes, data structures, and data extraction.
  • Expertise in Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning.
