About the Opportunity
As part of the Information Management team, the Data and Analytics Architect’s primary purpose is maintaining and building cutting edge solutions leveraging the full breadth of the Data Analytics capabilities of Council Data Analysis Platform (DAP) which is built on Microsoft Azure Cloud.
About You
To be successful in this role you will have:
- A current Microsoft Azure Data Engineer Associate Certification.
- Experience in Azure SQL Database /Azure SQL Managed Instance/ Azure SQL Elastic Pool/ /Databricks Lake house implementation and administration.
- Proficient knowledge and experience in Azure Synapse (Dedicated Pool, Serverless Pool and Spark Pool) installation and end to end configuration.
- Experience and knowledge Azure Data Lake Store Gen 2 Design and Implementation.
- Experience and knowledge Data Factory to develop automated data pipelines used in data warehouse and data flows.
- Proficient knowledge in Microsoft Purview and data governance frameworks.
- Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the following:
- Microsoft Data Platform Landing Zones
- Data lineage, integrity, and validation
- Data quality & Master Data Management
- Data modelling (relational & non-relational)
- Design and develop database stored procedures, functions, views and queries using various SQL standards (e.g. T-SQL, PL/SQL, etc.)
- Good knowledge of implementing the IAC with CICD (Azure DevOps / Github)
