Being a part of our team
Based from our manufacturing facility in Acacia Ridge, you will install and service optical fibre cable solutions across Queensland.

Day to day this will involve:

• Visiting customers sites across Queensland and lead the joining, termination and testing of optical fibre cables 
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in the field
• Read and understand cable plans and designs to safely and accurately install and repair solutions
• Work safely and be comfortable working at heights, including climbing power transmission structures (6-10mtr) and within confined spaces

Essential skills

• ACMA Open Cable Registration or a willingness to complete and maintain the certification as part of your ongoing employment
• Current Australian manual drivers licence
• The ability to follow tasks through to completion and work to deadlines
• Comfortable flying to remote sites and driving long distances 
• A strong safety focus and a customer service ethos
• Ability to work autonomously and as a part of a team
• The right to work in Australia with no restrictions

Desirable

• MR Heavy Vehicle Licence. Note if this licence is currently not held, you will be supported to obtain it as a requirement of the position
• Certificate 3 in Telecommunications
• Prior site-based experience work, within the electrical or telecommunications industry
