About the area and role
As an APS 4 Data Dissemination Specialist within the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS), you will play a crucial role in shaping the vision and direction of Digital Services. Your responsibilities extend beyond day-to-day operations to include monitoring emerging technologies and fostering synergies across the ABS and external stakeholders.
Specifically, these positions focus on data deployment using the WingArc suite of products for TableBuilder, contributing to system development and user acceptance testing.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Deployment and TableBuilder
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure successful data deployment within the TableBuilder application.
- Facilitate the use of the third-party products for efficient data loading and management.
- Align your efforts with the ABS’s strategic objective of being a leader in the data landscape.
System Development
- Support, test, and contribute to the ongoing development and enhancement of TableBuilder and supporting systems.
- Stay informed about emerging technology and trends to inform system improvements.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to identify opportunities for system optimization.
Relationship Management
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with data custodians, vendors, and technical experts.
- Foster collaboration and knowledge sharing across internal and external stakeholders.
- Act as a liaison between technical teams and end users to address any system related issues.
Team Collaboration and Client Service
- Work effectively as part of a large high performing team to deploy data and solve problems.
- Embrace diversity and contribute to a positive team culture.
- Strive to provide exceptional user experience for TableBuilder users.
