About the role:

The Payroll Specialist manages the payroll function for the employees at CDC across Australia and New Zealand. The main responsibility is to make sure everyone gets paid accurately and on time, whilst ensuring your knowledge for payroll standards and regulations is kept up to date. As a trusted subject matter specialist, you will provide quality advice to CDC employees, ensuring their payroll needs are taken care of efficiently. Your role plays a crucial part in maintaining smooth operations and fostering trust within the organisation.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Manage the end to end processing of payroll for employees across multiple jurisdictions ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and company policies and payroll data integrity.
  • Be the first point of contact for payroll inquiries from employees regarding pay, entitlements, deductions, taxes, and other related matters.
  • Stay up to date with changes in payroll legislation and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with external stakeholders as well the People and Finance teams to ensure seamless integration between payroll and other People and accounting processes.
  • Provide support during internal and external audits related to payroll; generating payroll reports as required.

About you: 

This role would suit a candidate who is looking to take full oversight and accountability for the payroll function. Someone who has previous exposure to overseeing and executing all aspects of the payroll process, including advisory services and end-to-end processing.

  • Proven working exposure to Australian and/or New Zealand payroll tax regulations, compliance and legislations.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and calculations.
  • Ability to build and maintain vendor and internal stakeholder relationships regarding payroll and the with P&C function.

Essential:

  • Australian Citizenship with ability to obtain and maintain a Negative Vetting1 Security Clearance.
