Rubix Solutions, representing a leading defence consultancy, is seeking experienced NV1 cleared Data Engineers to join an Adelaide-based Technical Support Team. The successful candidates will play a crucial role in designing and implementing gateway capabilities, with expertise in virtualization, containerized solutions, and security hardware and software. This role requires on-site presence starting in July 2024.
Responsibilities:
- Investigate enterprise data requirements, particularly in scenarios with complexity and ambiguity.
- Plan and execute data modeling and design activities, choosing appropriate techniques and levels of detail to achieve assigned objectives.
- Provide advice and guidance to team members regarding data structures and associated components.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements.
- Design and implement gateway capabilities, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
- Develop and maintain documentation related to data modeling, design decisions, and implementation processes.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and best practices in Data Engineering, virtualization, and security.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Data Engineering solutions into existing systems and infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Data Engineering and gateway capabilities.
- Participate in meetings, workshops, and training sessions to enhance team collaboration and skill development.
- NV1 security clearance or higher.
- Proven experience in designing and implementing gateway capabilities in complex environments.
- Strong understanding of virtualization technologies and containerized solutions.
- Proficiency in utilizing security hardware and software for data protection.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in ambiguous situations.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with data modeling techniques and tools.
- Familiarity with relevant programming languages (e.g., Python, Java) and data manipulation frameworks (e.g., Pandas, Spark).
