Robert Half Technology are working alongside a well-established I.T Services organisation who have recently expanded their service offering and client portfolio. This position is a result of the company growing in size and will be the first of a number of new hires.
The role of the Data Engineer is to work in a small team of 3 where you will be focused on bringing new customers on board and expanding the functionality.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop complex solutions for the clients using Oracle and PostgreSQL databases and applications
- Data cleansing including implementing new processes to ensure accuracy, consistency and integrity
- Write complex queries with PL/SQL, stored procedures and functions.
- Collaborate with an experienced team and to be pro-active in finding solutions
- Develop and maintain ETL/ELT processes to streamline data integration and improve efficiencies
Requirements:
- Extensive experience in a similar Data Engineering role working with Oracle and PostgreSQL
- Experience and knowledge working with Big Data, Data Warehouses, Data Lakes, etc.
- Proficient in Python and Shell for scripting
