Data Entry Operator

Status:                            Part time – 15 - 30 hours per week 

Department:                  Data Entry 

Role Summary:            

• To provide exceptional customer service, both face to face and via the telephone.
• To enter request form data into our Laboratory Information System efficiently and accurately

About The Role:

1. Data entry of pathology request forms using laboratory application software
2. Answering phone enquiries from the general public and medical practitioners
3. Provision of results to clients and medical practitioners
4. General administrative tasks
5. Shifts will be scheduled 4.30pm - 9.30pm, Mon – Fri as well as a 5hr weekend shift 

Selection Criteria:

1. Previous DATA ENTRY experience and competence with a range of computer application programs.
2. A keen eye for detail and exceptional accuracy in data transfer operations
3. Well-developed general administrative skills 
4. Previous experience with or a sound knowledge of medical terminology - medical reception experience will be considered an advantage
5. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
6. The ability to work cooperatively in a team environment as well as autonomously when required
7. An understanding of and commitment to privacy and confidentiality requirements within a medical setting 
8. A current Australian drivers licence
9. The ability to live and work in Australia on a permanent basis at the time of application.
