Systems Analyst/Accountant (Data Migration)

Randstad are currently working exclusively with a Government Department to find an experienced Systems Analyst/Accountant (Data Migration). The primary tasks of this role will be to assist in the migration of data in the FMIS Project from the legacy system to the target system, and following that support the FMIS Project Lead with a variety of Implementation tasks. This is an initial 6 Month Contract based in Brisbane City with WFH flexibility. NOTE: This is not a remote role - please only apply if based in Brisbane or relocating to Brisbane. For this role SQL skills are not required, as all Data Migration and conversion work would be done using Excel and application level tools. The ideal candidate for this role will possess:
Minimum 3 years systems accountant experience.
A high level of competency in Excel to the level of data manipulation.
Demonstrable previous experience in the mapping of financial data or equivalent.
Experience in the use of data import and export tools.
An appreciation of the business context of financial data and a generic knowledge of FMIS modules (no specific functional areas are a prerequisite).
Hands-on attitude, working directly with data and systems (may not suit someone at the FMIS Manager level unless they are happy to be hands on).
Comprehensive capability with MS Office products.
The resource will be provided with excel templates and sample data initially. The role does not require the ability to create large and complex spreadsheets from scratch, or to design data integration instances.
It is anticipated that the candidate will have had exposure to one of the common FMIS applications such as Oracle, SAP, MS Dynamics, Technology One.
Any candidates with prior Technology One systems experience will be looked on favorably.
Desirable, but not essential, is a knowledge of General and Subledger concepts in FMIS, or a deeper level of experience in one or more of the following areas - AP, AR Banking applications, Payroll integration, Travel expenses applications.
