As a member of UniSuper's Data Office within Data Modelling Practice, your role will be to produce data models at different levels of detail that support projects and general business analysis across various business units and teams. You will work closely with business SMEs, business and process analysts, and solution architects to understand the business context and project-specific data requirements and develop conceptual and logical models of data domains in scope for projects. You will also collaborate with Data Governance and Data Quality teams to ensure that the business terms and requirements for data completeness and integrity are well understood and documented
The role
You will be responsible for assisting in the maintenance and growth of the UniSuper Data Model repository by contributing quality deliverables and developing clear and problem-focused presentation views for business users.
Your role will also include, however will not be limited to,
- Collaborate with business SMEs, business and process analysts, and solution architects to understand the business context and project-specific data requirements.
- Develop conceptual and logical models of data domains in scope for projects.
- Contribute to the profiling and cataloguing of source system data.
- Contribute to the reconciliation of data across and within sources.
- Act as a data SME for UniSuper projects.
- Act as an intermediary between the project team and other application SMEs within UniSuper.
- Support the ad-hoc analysis of data as required.
- Contribute to the cataloguing (using Alation) and stakeholder / value mapping of our legacy reporting and data integration workloads.
- Contribute to scoping, prioritisation and execution of work to manage the migration of existing valuable workloads from our legacy platforms to MDP.
A true thought leader, we are seeking an individual who is a strategic thinker, result focus and measures performance by outcomes. Your experience will also include,
- Experience in Financial Services, particularly superannuation. Familiarity with superannuation concepts (e.g. accumulation, defined benefit, insurance, claims, investment switches, contributions, etc.).
- Experience in data modelling techniques and tools. Experience with Erwin and Bizzdesign is desirable, but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with basic data management, business intelligence and data integration concepts and terminology.
- Experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
