Join our Commodities Global Markets business as an enthusiastic and innovative Analyst. We ensure that Commodities Global Markets data is accurately and appropriately maintained for compliance with global regulations and internal policies with regards to completeness, quality, and timeliness.

At Macquarie, we are working to create lasting value for our communities, our clients and our people. We are a global financial services group operating in 34 markets and with 54 years of unbroken profitability. You'll be part of a supportive team where everyone - no matter what role - contributes ideas and drive outcomes.

What role will you play?

In this Sydney-based opportunity, you will engage with stakeholders to determine data requirements, identify and resolve issues, design solutions, streamline processes, and co-ordinate testing and implementation of system/process changes to support consistent data quality for all consumers of our data. You will review current control frameworks to develop and implement robust controls, whilst navigating and interpreting a wide range of data sources to ensure that financial markets data is represented appropriately, including for complex derivatives.

You will complete periodic reporting tasks, analysis of reporting, and use system validation and exception/control reports to ensure the output produces complete, accurate, valid and relevant data that is consistent with regulations and internal policies. This is a unique opportunity to gain experience in operational data reporting analysis and project co-ordination, whilst building a network across multiple teams in Macquarie.

What you offer

  • At least 1-2 years of working experience within a finance or accounting role, where you have gained the ability to detect breaks, anomalies and issues pertaining to reporting
  • Tertiary qualifications, preferably in Finance or Accounting or other related domain, with a high level of academic achievement and knowledge of financial services or financial markets products
  • Highly numerate with an ability to critically analyse, interrogate, interpret and draw conclusions from multiple data sources, with an aptitude for identifying issues and determining solutions
  • Excel aptitude, with strong Microsoft Office suite skills
  • Have a level of confidence to convey complex and technical requirements to both peers and senior colleagues

We love hearing from anyone inspired to build a better future with us, if you're excited about the role or working at Macquarie we encourage you to apply.

Benefits

  • Hybrid and flexible working arrangements
  • Wellbeing and service bonus leave
  • Up to 20 weeks paid parental leave as well as benefits to support you as you transition to life as a working parent
  • Paid volunteer leave and donation matching
  • Range of benefits to support your physical, mental and financial wellbeing
