The opportunity
This role is accountable for supporting efficient and effective quality of data at UniSuper spanning across Operational, Analytical and Business areas. Our Data Quality Processes ensure that we manage data that is fit for purpose for conducting business in the most efficient and effective ways and enable UniSuper to comply with regulatory requirements. The focus is on supporting the processes and tools that manage Data Quality lifecycle and for supporting business unit staff involved in the day-to-day Data Quality management.
Some additional key responsibilities include:
- Support the Data Quality Practice area with all Data Quality initiatives.
- Contribute to the Agile practices/ ways of working, which is how we manage the implementation of DQ Initiatives.
- Support the establishment, documentation, and management of Critical Data Elements (CDEs).
- Collaborate with Data Stewardship Council members to Identify, Investigate and fix Data Quality issues that arise during business process operations at UniSuper.
- Coordinate incident management responses with affected business units, including undertaking root-cause analysis and implementing any DQ improvements/fixes.
- Create and Maintain DQ dashboards with ability to track performance of the Data Quality Metrics and perform RCA where there are variations from the defined thresholds.
- Support management of Data Quality Toolset in collaboration with our technology group.
- Support the preparation of responses to internal and external reviews and audits on Data Quality
About you
- Experience spanning at least 2 of the Data Management Areas (Data Governance, Data Quality, Data Engineer, Data Modelling, Data Solution Design, Reporting).
- Hands-on experience in developing and managing Data Quality processes.
- Sound knowledge of the regulatory framework under which superannuation funds operate.
- Experienced in leading small initiatives (with or without people management responsibilities).
- Familiarity with DAMA-DAMBOK, Quality Control frameworks, SQL, Python, Alation or data cataloguing solutions
