YOUR ROLE
We are excited to advertise for a permanent Data Science Chapter Lead to join our team. As part of your role, you’ll lead a DIA Data Science Chapter, contributing to projects as a senior data scientist, and upskilling the team in connecting Data Science capability to the business domain.
You’ll contribute directly to projects as a senior data scientist, writing code and/or reviewing code contributions and approaches of junior team members. You’ll also help establish, improve, and maintain Data Science standards within the team.
This is a permanent position open to candidates in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.
ABOUT YOU
- Extensive experience in data analytics, machine learning, statistical modelling, and other advanced Data Science techniques, with demonstrated proficiency in programming languages such as Python and R
- Leadership and management skills to lead the Data Science Chapter, with a track record of delivering impactful data-driven solutions, and the ability to mentor, inspire, and guide junior to senior team members
- Experience in hiring data scientists and building data-centric teams
- Commitment to continuous learning, staying updated with the latest in the field of Data Science, and the ability to adapt to evolving tools and technologies
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring alignment with business objectives
- Experience in fostering a positive, collaborative, and knowledge-sharing culture within a team and/or organisation.
