Data Scientist

An opportunity to make a lasting impact on the next health tech improving mental and physical wellbeing through advanced ML and NLP techniques.

We have partnered with a Med-tech startup building a platform focussed on improving the lives of its users through a variety of data and ML models.
As the Data Scientist / Engineer, you will be working across a variety of tasks, including managing pipelines, deploying models and reporting.
You will be doing:

• Exploratory data analysis and data extraction from a variety of sources
• Develop and conduct anomaly detection on models
• Design, deploy and maintain data pipelines and architecture
• Database design, management and cleansing
• Deploy ML Models and Data Pipelines

We are looking for:

• Strong experience with NLP and broader Machine learning models. Speech-to-text models are favourable
• Experience writing ETL code and managing Data Pipelines on AWS cloud
• Working knowledge of MLOps practises, again on AWS
• Experience within the Medical technology space is looked on favourably
• Tertiary degree in Medical Science and/or a Technology degree, research is also highly regarded

You will be joining a a startup with huge up[side and a product solving real-world problems. While this will be a tough role, you will be rewarded with a great rem package and strong equity.
Please note - candidates are preferred to be based in Melbourne with a mix of in-office and WFH. Candidates are required to have full and unrestricted work rights.
