Rubix Solutions is a leading provider of resourcing solutions, connecting talented professionals with opportunities across Australia. We are currently seeking experienced Data Scientists to support the delivery of a large national project at one of our client sites.
As a Data Scientist, you will play a vital role in expanding and optimizing data and data pipeline architecture, as well as building, optimizing, and maintaining conceptual and logical database models. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to optimize data flow and collection, ensuring the success of the project.
Key Responsibilities:
- Expand and optimize data and data pipeline architecture to support the project's objectives.
- Develop and maintain robust and scalable data ingestion pipelines, warehouse monitoring, and data lifecycle management activities.
- Design, develop, and maintain large-scale, cloud-based data lake and data warehouse processes using platforms such as Snowflake, Microsoft Azure, or AWS.
- Utilize data modeling techniques and frameworks to design efficient and effective data structures.
- Implement data lifecycle management principles and practices to ensure data integrity and availability.
- Manage data storage and archiving technologies to optimize data storage and retrieval processes.
- Implement data governance and data quality management practices to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
- Utilize data visualization tools to present insights and findings to stakeholders.
- Monitor cloud infrastructure and computing platforms, optimizing cloud consumption metrics for cost efficiency.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
- Communicate technical concepts and findings to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
- Demonstrated experience delivering data science projects within a large, complex ICT environment.
- Extensive experience in delivering robust and scalable data ingestion pipelines, warehouse monitoring, and data lifecycle management activities.
- Demonstrated experience designing, developing, and maintaining large-scale, cloud-based data lake and data warehouse processes using platforms such as Snowflake, Microsoft Azure, or AWS.
- Strong understanding of data modeling techniques and frameworks.
- Knowledge of data lifecycle management principles and practices.
- Experience with data storage and archiving technologies.
- Experience with data governance and data quality management.
- Experience with data visualization tools.
- Knowledge of cloud infrastructure and computing platforms and cloud consumption metrics.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be an Australian citizen and possess at least Baseline security clearance or NV1 clearance
