Work Location: Fortescue Centre & Bennett St - Fortescue's Perth office is located on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk people.
Roster: 5:2 (Monday to Friday)
As a member of the Operational Data Lake (ODL) team, you will provide data engineering expertise to build and maintain operational data products. Specially, designing, developing, and supporting time-critical data products that are consumed throughout the FMG value chain.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse and organize raw data
- Build data systems and pipelines
- Evaluate business needs and objectives
- Prepare data for prescriptive and predictive modelling
- Explore ways to enhance data quality and reliability
- Identify opportunities for data acquisition
- Collaborate with data scientists and architects on several projects
- Previous experience as a data engineer or in a similar role
- Technical expertise with data models, data mining, and segmentation techniques
- Knowledge of FMG's data platform technologies (i.e., Snowflake, AWS)
- Knowledge of FMG's data catalogue (i.e., Alation)
- Tertiary qualification in relevant Engineering, IT, or related field.
