As a result of continued growth within the IT Professional Services sector, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Principal/Senior Data Specialist to join our Data & AI team based in NSW. Joining a fantastic team of professionals, you'll have the opportunity to work across a diverse set of rewarding industries, including NFP, energy, utilities, local government, and health.

Role Purpose:
As a Data Specialist, you are passionate about data solutions, particularly within the Microsoft Azure Data and AI domain. We are seeking an individual who envisions the potential of data and is eager to lead the delivery of technical data solutions, with an emphasis on client value. This role offers an exciting opportunity for growth in project leadership, people management, strategy development, and architecture.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with our amazing internal team and client teams to construct and test secure cloud-based data solutions using the Azure data stack.
- Mentor team members to enhance their skills and contribute to the overall architecture capability.
- Present, adapt, implement, and refine our reference architecture.
- Actively participate in customer requirements workshops, document needs, and effectively communicate them back to the customer.
- Demonstrate solutions to clients and articulate their value.
- Lead agile delivery teams, fostering collaboration with Account Managers and Project Managers.
- Provide mentorship and coaching to Data Specialists and graduate Data Specialists.
- Engage in pre-sales and strategy activities.
- Contribute to data model and UX design, specializing in Dimensional modeling and Power BI.
- experience building cloud-based data solutions, preferably in Microsoft Azure.
- Proven track record in leading projects using Agile/Scrum methods.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a demonstrated ability to deliver value.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Data Science, or equivalent.
