What you'll be doing

Act as the principal specialist in Programme Management and lead the Programme Management Office on a trajectory away from delivering individual IT Projects to managing enterprise focused cross-functional programmes. The position will understand the need to balance people, practices, value, technology and relationships, whilst assuring delivery of services and initiatives across the South East Sydney LHD, Illawarra Shoalhaven LHD and Sydney Children’s Hospital Randwick.
Employment of a temporary visa holder may only occur if no suitable permanent resident or citizen of Australia has been identified for this position following suitable labour market testing.
All workers and new recruits are required to receive 2 doses of a Therapeutic Goods Administration approved or recognised COVID-19 vaccine to commence employment/ engagement or continue to work within a NSW Health service.
A worker and new recruit will be considered compliant if they have a medical contraindication to all available Therapeutic Goods Administration approved or recognised COVID-19 vaccines and provide medical contraindication evidence in line with the policy requirements.
In addition, all Category A workers and new recruits are required to receive one dose of the seasonal influenza vaccine annually to be considered compliant.
Category A workers and new recruits who are non-compliant with seasonal influenza vaccination or have a medical contraindication to influenza or COVID-19 vaccinations must comply with all other infection control risk reduction strategies as directed while working in a Category A position.

- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Managing Successful Programmes (MSP) qualification to practitioner level and/or demonstrated recent experience in programme management
- Experience in Programme Management with proven evidence in effectively managing organisational change
- Experience and/or understanding of Project Management disciplines and procedures in a project management methodology i.e. PRINCE2 environment
- Demonstrated ability to develop, direct and lead a team in the achievement of organisational goals at a senior level
- Demonstrated conceptual and innovative problem solving skills for managing conflicting priorities and developing, implementing and monitoring recommendations and advice on policies, strategies and solutions across complex areas
- Highly developed interpersonal communication, verbal and written skills and demonstrated ability to consult, influence and negotiate effectively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to manage human, financial and physical resources effectively and efficiently to ensure budget and performance targets are met
