About the role
Troocoo has partnered with a market leader in the energy retailing space, to find a skilled Data Warehouse Developer to join their specialist team of data and software engineers.
In this role, the Data Warehouse Developer will develop, improve, and apply best practice to the Data Warehouse and governance function, applying data visualization techniques and working closely with cross functional teams including data scientists, product managers, software developers, and the brand and marketing team.
What the Data Warehouse Developer will need to be successful:
  • Experience in data modelling, data integration, and data manipulation in large complex environments
  • Strong technical proficiency in SQL and data warehousing
  • Windows, Linux, Unix environment experience with a wide variety of database technologies
  • Computer Science or related discipline qualification
  • Hands-on experience with data transformation/ELT tools and data modelling, working with BI and Visualization tools such as Tableau and Power BI
  • Experience building data pipelines and implementing data controls for business and IT operations and solutions that integrate with digital products, within a hybrid cloud environment
Key responsibilities of the Data Warehouse Developer:
  • Apply expertise in data warehousing for translating new requirements into scalable and sustainable data solutions
  • Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional and non-functional business requirements. Working with data scientists to strive for greater functionality in data systems
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement style to work effectively with Executive, Product, Data and Design teams, assisting with data related technical issues and support data infrastructure needs
  • Own and champion the designs and implementations of data pipelines, data catalogues, data models and data controls, and advise on good practices for operating at scale
  • Provide subject matter expertise with data management technologies to constantly challenge and improve the solutions by adding new capabilities, enhancing performance, or improving robustness and solution availability
Must be Brisbane Based.
