The role
- Implement the test strategy and test plan across all projects/change
- Implement and adhere to testing methods and standards in line with department standards
- Prepare, create, maintain, execute and review test requirements and scripts, derived from design analysis and liaise with design, build and business teams
- Provide estimates of testing effort and progress for project management and planning activities
- Assign tasks to the test team and ensure timely delivery of test outcomes with quality results
- Assist in the production release and review of all test deliverables
- Ensure test environment requirements are clearly documented and agreed
- Execute test scripts (when required)
- Produce metrics to measure testing quality and progress
The requirements
- Preparation and maintenance of test plans, test cases, test results and defect reporting
- Data Warehousing testing with strong SQL skills and ETL knowledge
- Testing tools (i.e. Azure DevOps)
- Thorough understanding of testing practices and processes in agile and waterfall project environment
- Ability to work independently, or at the direction of the Test Manager, following testing processes.
- Ability to work within team and/or autonomously as required.
- Excellent communication, analytical, problem solving and time management skills.
- Strong analytical, problem solving and negotiation skills.
