About the roleThe
Database Administrator collaborates within a Technical Strategy project team to design, deploy, and maintain AWS-based database applications.The responsibilities of the
Database Administrator include:
- Aiding in database design requirements, encompassing timeseries, logs, and audit.
- Offering expertise in configuring, building, managing, and monitoring databases.
- Investigating incidents, including performance issues.
- Conducting DB data extracts, reorganizations, refreshes, backups, and restores.
- Developing and maintaining operational documentation for the database environment.
- Providing support as an escalation point for database environment issues.
- Assisting in the design and execution of Database Backup strategies, environment management, and business continuity plans.
- Providing counsel and direction to the project team regarding data modeling and optimal utilization of database products.
- Performing release and change management tasks.
- Undertaking other duties as necessary.
