As the Workplace Relations Specialist, you will be part of a collaborative and dynamic team. Your role will involve providing advice and high-level support on workPlace Relations and policies for the department. You will deal with the complexity of Australian workplace legislation frameworks and provide an objective lens to support stakeholders and solutions that are fit-for-purpose.You are open-minded, and pragmatic in your interactions with diverse range of stakeholders. You have practical experience interpreting industrial legislation and are adept at translating complex, technical information into simple, understandable concepts that all stakeholders can relate to.We're looking for someone with:
- Experience in workPlace Relations policies and employment legislation compliance
- Strong knowledge of Australian employment laws including the Fair Work Act 2009;
- Interest and experience interpreting State and Territory based legislation;
- Excellent eye for detail and ability to think logically, critically, and to solve problems with a risk lens
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to contextualise and communicate complex Industrial relations concepts accurately and in terms all stakeholders can relate to
- Provide industrial relations advice to ensure legislative compliance.
- Interpret and appropriately apply relevant employment legislation in a broad range of situations.
- Influence and advise across a diverse range of industries including government, and private companies.
- Conduct negotiations
- Fair Work and industrial legislation compliance
- Enterprise Bargaining strategies
- Employee & Workplace Relations frameworks, processes & controls to enable sustainable industrial compliance and the successful implementation of IR strategies.
