Our client is a prominent distributor catering to travelers offering an impressive array of leading international and local brands in Beauty, Fragrance, Liquor, Wine, Technology, Jewellery, Watches and Confectionery. Presently, they are in search of a DC Receiving and Dispatch Team Leader to oversee various functions within the DC. This role entails conducting inventory cycle counts, maintaining accurate records for inbound and outbound deliveries, and championing safety leadership in alignment with OH&S policies and procedures.
Monday to Friday - 7am until 3pm.
Please note that at the moment they are situated in Abbotsford however, they will be relocating to Tullamarine in the coming months.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely load and unload vehicles
- Cultivate a safety-oriented culture consistent with OHS policies
- Act as a Safety Leader within DC Operations
- Monitor delivery schedules, update transportation systems and maintain records
- Collaborate with service providers to resolve delivery queries and issues
- Drive continuous improvement in DC Operations
- Implement processes to ensure the accuracy of documentation for all deliveries
- Conduct weekly cycle counts
- Maintain inbound register and Australian Border Force log-in register
- Accountable for signing scanners and maintaining daily pre-checklists for forklifts
- Complete daily hazard checklists, reporting and addressing issues
- Ensure stock control measures are upheld
- Develop training and process documents for Receiving and Dispatch functions
- Uphold housekeeping standards, ensuring work areas are safe
- Undertake additional tasks as directed by the DC Supervisor
The ideal candidate will possess prior experience in a similar Team Leader role within a warehouse setting and demonstrate a commitment to prioritizing occupational health and safety and teamwork.
Additional preferred experience includes:
- The ability to work collaboratively within a team
- Manage multiple tasks
- Prior Team Leader experience
- A strong understanding of OHS and Distribution Centre Operations
- Experience with WMS systems
- A current forklift license(LF)
- Ideally have first aid training or a safety certificate
- A team-oriented approach
- Excellent communication skills with keen attention to detail.
- Have reliable transport to get to and from work
