Coral Expeditions is Australia’s pioneering cruise line, specialising in a unique style of immersive adventures by small expedition ship. With humble beginnings hosting cruises on the Great Barrier Reef, the company has grown into a borderless fleet of three ships carrying between 72 and 120 guests. For four decades, Coral Expeditions has operated with a single purpose – to take small groups of likeminded explorers to remote places with expert guidance and warm Australian hospitality. In 2023, we have returned to international sailings including New Zealand, Japan, Papua New Guinea, and Islands of Indonesia.
To support the operation, we are now looking for experienced Deck Team Members to join our fleet with an immediate start.
Responsibilities include
- Tender Master
- General Deck Duties
- Vessel Maintenance
- Ships Lookout
- Watch Keeping Duties
- Passenger Assistance & Interaction.
The minimum requirements are:
One of the following certificates of competency
- Master <35
- Navigational Watch Rating
- Able seafarer (Deck)
Also, must hold or willing to obtain:
- Current First Aid/CPR Certificate
- Certificate of Safety training (CoST) (AMSA endorsed)
- AMSA Medical
- Crowd control certificate
- Crisis management certificate
Desirable requirements
- Passenger ship experience
- Proficiency in Survival craft highly regarded
Rosters will require a commitment of up to 6 weeks duration for domestic voyages and up to 8 weeks for international voyages.
