About your new role
As an Energy Specialist, you’ll be working as a crucial part of the Retail Customer Solutions Centre and be responsible for providing high-quality customer service to our diverse customer enquiries.
After you complete your 3 weeks of full-time training, you’ll confidently provide end to end customer service solutions across multiple channels, using our new Kraken technology.
Your daily interactions will include working through the full range of customer service-related enquiries including but not limited to, billing and payments; metering enquiries; moving requests; hardship; collections; complaints and customer education.
You’ll be scheduled to work on a varying roster from 7.30am to 5.30pm, Monday to Friday. Below are the available options:
- Permanent full-time 36.25 hours per week (9-day fortnight)
- Permanent full-time 40 hours per week (10-day fortnight)
Please Note:
If successful, you must be available Monday to Friday, from 8.00 – 5.00pm for 3 weeks training, prior to commencing as an ‘Energy Specialist’ managing enquiries.
The commencing remuneration for your new role is $79K plus 12.75% superannuation for a 9-day fortnight and $91K plus 12.75% superannuation for a 10-day fortnight. Once the six month probation period has been completed, and the relevant competencies have been met, potential salary progression may be $97K plus 12.75% superannuation for a 9-day fortnight and $112K plus 12.75% superannuation for a 10-day fortnight.

About you

As part of the Ergon Energy Retail Team, you must be able to work autonomously and be familiar with communicating in a team environment where colleagues may be located at various regional sites across Queensland.
You’re an experienced customer service professional with current frontline experience.
You have excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with a demonstrated ability to engage with customers across multiple platforms including email, social media, and telephone.
You’re able to interpret data and system information in order to understand customer issues or enquires and offer mutually agreeable solutions. At times, you will manage challenging situations.
Acting within your delegation of authority, you have a demonstrated ability to use sound commercial judgement to improve customer experiences, taking into consideration risk and regulatory frameworks.
You will be provided with an understanding of your career progression where you are responsible for your own future by working extremely hard to achieve goals.
