Evolve Scientific are currently searching for a highly experienced Project Engineer (decommissioning) for one of our clients in the pharmaceutical sector.
About the role:
Based in an inner-northern suburb of Melbourne, the Project Engineer will largely focus on carrying out activities associated with the decommissioning of the site and equipment. Whilst also providing project and design support to the Project Manager and team to ensure that the specified project requirements are implemented to specification, time, quality and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
Under direction of the assigned Project Manager:
- Carry out decommissioning activities for equipment, utilities, systems, and facilities.
- Prepare decommissioning documentation.
- Be involved in:
- Managing small to medium sized projects (Team typically fewer than five Low to medium project complexity and technical complexity);
- Supporting medium to large projects, as part of teams managed by Project
- Raise and administer purchase orders for supply of goods and
- Assist with, or develop as directed, the preparation of key project management
- Assist with the technical design and implementation of the overall
- Assist in the planning and co-ordination of any plant shutdown
- Assist with or manage construction activities as
- Assist with, or manage as directed, the development of operational documents and training in the documents.
- Ensure that projects are managed in a way that recognises GMP and the need to actively manage the risk of non-compliance.
- Ensure that projects are managed in a way that creates a safe, healthy and secure workplace for the staff and contractors involved in implementing projects and for those using the facilities created or modified by these projects.
To be considered for the role, the ideal candidates must have:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant Engineering or Science
- A proactive and outgoing attitude
- This means someone that can liaise with multiple sector teams onsite.
- Relevant experience in similar circumstances
- This can be as a decomissioning engineer/coordinator or a similar comissioning role in a highly regulated industry
- Knowledge of cGMP, Environment Health Safety and Sustainability (EHS) and Seqirus’ Quality Management System is desirable.
- Capable with software programs MS-Excel, MS-Word, MS-PowerPoint, MS-Project and MS-Outlook.
