About the Role 

We have an exciting casual opportunity around 15 hours per fortnight for a Defence Community Relationship Officer to provide the relationship and engagement presence in Canberra and New South Wales to support members of all segments to manage their personal and family healthcare. Reporting into the Defence Community Relationship Team Leader, this stand-alone role is perfect for a self-motivated individual who enjoys setting goals and is looking for flexibility.

The Defence Community Relationship Officer is required to be based in ACT and will involve travel through the region and interstate. You will also be required to be available some weekends and evenings.

The successful candidate will have the following attributes:

  • Defence background: ex-FT or Reserve, DPS, family connections (desirable)
  • Strong knowledge of Defence and Defence community
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate with a variety of audiences and stakeholders
  • Confidence and intellect to be proactive in search for new opportunities and contacts
  • Basic strategic awareness and business skills to understand role of business and the role contribution to the organisation
