Overview
Our client is seeking an experienced and skilled Project Scheduler to play a crucial role in strategic planning at a Group-level and provide support to multiple Integrated Investment Program (IIP) projects. The role will be within a Program Management Office which oversees projects ranging from Pre-Second Pass through to Acquisition and Sustainment.
The Project Scheduler will develop, maintain, and supervise detailed project schedules, with Open Plan Professional serving as the key scheduling software. They will collaborate with project stakeholders and leverage CapabilityOne data to develop a strategic view of the Group's capability schedule for senior executives. The individual will also conduct critical path analyses, identify potential scheduling risks and provide guidance on schedule management to project teams.
Essential Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in Open Plan Professional within Defence projects and deep understanding of its functionality and features
- Extensive knowledge of the One Defence Capability System and its application to Defence projects
- Experience with accessing scheduling/milestone information from CapabilityOne
- Knowledge of key capability development milestones (including Committee Gates and Passes) and Acquisition milestones
- Experience with other scheduling software such as Microsoft Project will be highly regarded
