What we need
The Demand Analyst position is a multidisciplinary role that includes facilitating demand planning, monthly forecast analysis and partnering with internal stakeholders to monitor and minimise stock obsolescence and wastage. This is a role that requires a collaborative working style with the ability to influence key stakeholders. This is an exciting and challenging role with exposure to all levels of the business.
What you will do
- Lead monthly demand reviews with the sales team including reviewing historical sales trends, researching demand drivers and evaluating forecast results using internal and external data.
- Provide demand analysis, consensus and performance metrics on forecasting accuracy.
- Support the development of new product launch demand plans and post-launch reviews.
- Partner with supply planners and sales managers to monitor and track stock risks (including MLOR exemptions) and to minimise stock obsolescence and wastage.
- Supplier forecast alignment in conjunction with sales managers.
- Identify abnormal demand in the near-term planning horizon with sales and supply teams.
- Support the annual strategic planning process.
- Support to deliver insight through communicating revenue performance drivers across the business by analysing variances in price, volume and mix for key brands and sales channels.
- Understand and utilise customer market data (ie Aztec, Quantium, Unify etc.) to drive effectiveness in customer programs and provide recommendations through findings.
- Preparation of internal and external category reports as required.
What you will bring
- 3 years + of relevant experience
- Background in FMCG or Consumer industries
- Experience in either demand or supply planning/management
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to extract data detail but can also zoom out of the detail to assess the big picture
- Strong Excel skillset is essential, Power BI & NetSuite experience a bonus
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
