Salary Your new company Join a globally recognised brand as their Demand Planner, leading the S&OP process for the business in a permanent role in their team based in Sydney. Your new role In your new role as Demand Planner, you'll become a key player in the sales and operations planning process for the business, ensuring alignment between the commercial and supply chain functions of the business via:
Management of demand forecasting and liaison with product supply teams, striving for increased forecast accuracy through statistical analysis and scrutiny of historical sales trends.
Inventory control across the national distribution network, with a focus on accuracy and safety stock in line with the overall financial goals of the business.
Collaboration with key stakeholders in the wider S&OP function both domestically and across the global supply chain network with the ultimate goal of creating a coherent supply chain and delivering an optimised customer experience.
Ownership and improvement of key performance metrics across forecast accuracy, inventory obsolescence, operational costs, and new product introduction.
What you'll need to succeed
Previous experience in a similar role with demonstrated understanding of demand forecasting, inventory management and S&OP processes.
Strong analytical & forecasting skills with a data-driven approach and emphasis on accuracy, paired with high-level proficiency in MS Excel.
Excellent interpersonal skills, with a track-record of building successful relationships across multiple business units including sales, finance, and operations.
Tertiary qualifications in business, supply chain or a related discipline will be highly regarded.
